Before you commence any trail ride an assessment will be required, this is compulsory for all new clients, the safety of our clients and horses is paramount, hence the assessment.
All trail rides are taken on fit, forward going mounts, please note the maximum weight allowance is 14 stones.
Our trail rides are designed for riders who are competent at walk, trot and canter, note trail riding is not for novice riders, the demands of the terrain we cover require riders whose ability can demonstrate competence and confidence during your assessment. Novice riders should visit our trekking page.
Our location offers over 25000 acres of varied and stunning terrain, here you will witness some of the best scenery that Britain has to offer, coupled with a chance to see the diverse and enchanting wildlife that share the land with us. Many of our trails allow a mixture of riding paces, riders should be able to cope with all paces and if required you should have the confidence to jump small hedges and ditches.
Riders should be sufficiently fit, should you encounter difficult terrain you should be able to dismount and lead your horse whenever necessary.
We have a variety of trail ride options, the minimum ride including your assessment will last for 90 minutes, the maximum will be for 6 hours, prices for trail riding can be viewed on our tariff page, feel free to view our gallery for trail riding images.
